Should I turn it Off as OVer Filter the Tank using a PowerFilter and Sponge Filter.

I was told to turn off my filter when my betta spawned unexpectedly but I would wait for a more experienced betta person to reply

break it on him and hope it makes it someplace else, if you can try and give him some incentive to make it on the other side of the tank, maybe put his GF in a bowl on the other side so he spends most his time over there
