I've just started setting up a 150L three foot tank and, although the instructions provided were minimal, installed a ProAqua CF1000 canister filter. It seems to run fine but small beads of water are continually leaking out from where the lid fits onto the rest of the filter box. I've taken it off, made sure there's nothing on the edge, and fitted it again. Same thing happened. There's no way to fit it tighter.

Is this normal? I read that someone else keeps their canister filter in a bucket - in case it leaks and to make cleaning easier. Is there anything I could do to fix it myself without having to send it back? Or should I find myself a big enough bucket and put up with it (or send it back even)?
