problem with my glass fish

My daughter is new to fish keeping and she has a glass fish in her tank, this was given to her by a friend. The glass fish is wobbling from side to side and doesnt seem to be swimming very well at all. Whats wrong? We dont know what to do. I have taken it out of its tank and placed it in a birthing tank to try and keep a watch of it. If someone could please contact me soon about this problem i would appreciate it.

check your water for ammonia and nitrite...If it's not at 0 then your fish is suffering form ammonia or nitrite poisoning
