problem with gold fish

My gold fish back seems to be bent and it's tail looks as though it's been cut in different places....does anyone have a idea what it could be...Thanks

If you bought him like that he's more than likely a mutated goldie. Petco seems to have a problem with recieving small commons and koi with bent/arched backs. But without the critical information asked by Oohfeeshy we can't pin the cause exactly.
