How long have you had it set-up? Was the problem there from the start?

no my bubble counter broke the other day and got a new one, im wondering if there can be a leak causing this

Yeah....normally a leak or a blocked diffuser. The pressure is building up and then releasing suddenly, and dropping, and so the cycle goes. Check the external joints with a little soapy water and look for the bubbles. I actually superglue my lines to my non-return valve, etc, as I am scared of them blowing apart and then having water siphon out while I am not home

. This also helps seal them, but does mean you ain't ever getting them apart.

do you think my atomizer/diffuser could do with cleaning as for 2 months I stopped using it, and now thinking it may need cleaning?

I got one like this

Yeah, I clean mine every few weeks when in use, as the performance drops off pretty quickly with general gunk and algae. Soak it in a bleach solution for an hour, and then give it a rinse, and scrub with a tooth brush, and it will be good as new.

thanks for your help. will do that, and when I put everything back together and think I will superglue the tubing to the return valves as its a good idea. never thought about the tubing blowing off from them and water leaking everywhere, top tip :good:

Welcome. I think gluing the line to the valve is well worth it, at worst when you strip it down you will need to cut the lines and spend a quid on a new valve.....But you won't come home to 100 liters of water on your floor!

I just stripped it all down and where the tubing goes onto the J Shape Glass Tube (that hooks over the side of the tank) it was leaking there. So what I did was put on all new co2 tubing and put glue on the valves and the j shape glass tube and now the bubbles are running fine agin and the mist has returned rather than bubbles in the tank. :good:
