I thought my angel's touch of fin rot had sorted itself in quarantine, but s/he has been in the main tank for a couple of weeks now and it's not improving. I'm not actually sure it is fin rot; there is no fluffiness or redness involved
Tank details;
240l
APS 2000lph external
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 30 ish
26°C
Stocking;
approx 40 false neons
12 marbled hatchets
5 adolfoi corydoras
6 glass cats
one red whiptail and one clown plec, plus the angel
Here are the best pics I can get;
It looks pinker in the pics than it does in real life; I assume that's my lighting or my phone cam!
I've already tried courses of Interpet anti fungus and fin rot and Myxazin (separately, with water changes and carbon in the filter in between) to no avail
Anyone have any suggestions? Seriously considering pulling the fish out and cutting the fin back, but that seems rather drastic. My friend suggested it could be genetic; certainly veiltailed angels do seem to get slightly 'tatty' fins as a matter of course (well, all mine have), but I'm just not at all sure.
Apart from this issue, the fish is in fine health; eating and growing well and showing no signs of illness or distress, and no other fins are affected.
