I will be after 5 corydoras julii shortly, could anyone tell me what the going price is (roughly) for these fish? just want to get a rough idea on what i will be paying for each one on this species

any help or advice is appreciated, my nearest LFS is maidenhead aquatics in morden (within walking distance), i have not asked them if they got these or there price yet but i like to know an idea of price before purchasing.

thanks

Danny

hi, do you mean Corydoras julii, or Corydoras trilineatus (false julii)? trilineatus are often mislabelled julii. for trilineatus it is about £5 each, for fish of around an inch or so in size.

cheers :good:

I agree with pest control, mine at maidenhead were labelled Julli, but are in fact Trilineatus,Proper Julli's are very hard to get and tri's are often mis-labelled has Julli,i paid £4.95 each for mine, some smaller lfs might have them slightely cheaper, but around £5 seems the going rate :)

Um I'm not sure if mine r julii but the pet shop says they are. Anyway, I got mine for about 4 USD.

OK scratch my reply. I've put pics of mine up and people are saying they are actually C. trilineatus. sorry! But I think it's easier to find trilineatus in stores and the difference is that julii have individual spots instead of the maze-like design of the trilineatus. But that is the price i paid and the trilineatus have been excellent fish to keep, so if you don't have luck with the julii, trilineatus would be a good replacement.

Real C. julii are it's necessary to know where they were caught in order to identify them positively. Most fish sold under that name are tank raised C. trilineatus. This is an excellent fish in itself. They are attractive, popular, and will often spawn in a home aquarium. What more could you ask for?
