Price Of An Adonis Plec

Hi guys, you might have seen before my monster Adonis plec that is quickly growing and I now need to re-home home as he is starting to fight with my common pleco.

I had previously spoken to the guys at Wharf aquatics in Mansfield about taking him. What I was wondering is how much they are usually sold for? He is around 7" - 8" not including his Dorsal whip like appendages. I have no intention of being paid but would like to swap him for another fish or fish food or something.

I "rescued" him from a friends tank as he bought it online and when he arrived to pick it up they expected him to take the fish too! I had no idea what he was or how much they retail at.

Hope someone can give me a quick rsvp, I have some time off and want to take him on Monday.

i saw some at bas in bolton a couple of weeks ago, think they were about £30 each, only about 3 inch max. So dont no how much one at 7 inch would go for! I am after an adonis, the larger the better. Shame you live far away!

You want one bigger the better? all them tanks in your sig are far from big enough for an adonis



OP.... there not really worth that much suprisingly, they are stunning plecs but again abit like commons and gibby's the size puts people off , 7-8 inch adonis i wouldnt say anymore than £30 for cash and £40-£45 store credit.

Thanks for the advice guys, to me £30-40 seems like he's worth plenty I just wanted to make sure it was worth the trip out.
Shame you live far away dave. I would be happy to let him go for almost nothing if it was to a good home.

Thanks for your advice guys, I took him to Wharf aquatics and I swapped him for a little Vittata plec and a massive container of JMC catfish pellets! Int he good looking:
