can’t believe some people don’t like tannins, i think they’re gorgeous! to each their own. Anyway, loving the golden look rn after adding a couple more almond leaves to my ten gal!! i’ve been steadily adding a couple each week after my water changes, growing my little ecosystem of micro bacteria and fungus, as well as establishing some detritivore colonies (copepods, detritus worms)

I like the look when I do have it but I don't add anything to purposely get that look... Its just an extra thing then. But when I do get a new piece of wood or something, I enjoy the tannin filled water! I like your tank!
