Pretty gross

I came downstairs about 3 hours after feeding the fish brine shrimp. Both the guppies and the puffers have HUGE peices of poo hanging out of them. I guess thats what happens when you swallow something whole. One of the puffers shook it loose and to me it still looked like a shrimp. I guess he thought so too because he ate it again. Talk about recycling.

The poo will probably be shrimp shell. Puffers can't digest this and it goes right through the system and er, out the other end

Our Fahaka Martha regularly poops huge chunks of undigested prawn shell. We have to pick it out or hoover it.

It's just a close-up shot taken in macro mode. Then I cut out the background and desaturated it to make Martha stand out.

Martha was not removed from the water at any time.
