Hi I am planning on getting a pressurized co2 setup soon but I have 2 tanks I want co2 for but don't want to fork out for 2 setups. My question is can I get 1 setup and then use cheap airline splitter to feed 2 tanks? I would glue or tape the tubing in place to prevent leaks but would this be ok? The only alternative to a cheap splitter I can find is something like this My link.

you'll need a manifold and proper co2 splitter.

i'm not sure of the exact mechanics of then balancing the co2 across 2 tanks.

regular plastic air splitter will not work. You need a brass splitter at the regulator, I don't suggest inline ones. If you are in the US I suggest getting one from Rex, it may take a long time to get to you though. You also need to make sure it can fit thread-wise into your regulator. CO2 must be split at the regulator and you need individual lines: needle valve, check valve, bubble counter, and diffuser for each line.

Item you linked will work and has bubble counters and needle valves I believe. You just need to make sure it will fit what ever regulator you intend to use. Not totally sure what it means by manual and electronic...

that brass splitter would work. Again though, i'm really not sure what they mean by manual and electronic. If you mail them and ask them, will you post the reply here?

I wasn't sure either and I have already asked but haven't got a reply yet, which post it when I get it.

I haven't got a reply yet so not 100% sure because the seller of the splitter also sells a normal solenoid regulator My link. If you scroll down and look at the pictures one shows a 3 way splitter attached directly to the solenoid valve. So I'm guessing electronic regulator means one with a solenoid regulator.

That makes some sense, but solenoid is just a part. Some regulators my come with solenoids attached, but these are still just solenoid and a regulator. The regulator is exactly the same if you use a solenoid or not. The threads on the splitter still have to match up to whatever it is you intend to attach it too. Solenoid or regulator.

Yeah thats what i thought. The seller is from malaysia so maybe its a mistranslation of the description. I'm pretty sure that the splitter will work with any regulator, solenoid or not.

Here are the replys ive got

Hi Mark,

Manual regulator means the the adjustment of co2 and the on and off of the co2 is not automatically.

And when you say electronic regulator do you mean a regulator with a solenoid valve? Yes it means it is with a solenoid valve.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Kind Regards,
Sheryl

and

Hi Mark,

Yes, it can be attached to the needle valve of the solenoid regulator which we sell directly.

Kind Regards,
Sheryl
