Some upgrades are going to be done on the power lines around here so we're going to lose power for approximately 10 hours tomorrow night. My major concern is my bettas staying warm, the house can get really cold at night. I'm going to wrap some towels around their tanks and hope for the best!

Also, I'm going to have a battery powered air pump aerating the 10 gallon (it's still cycling) and was thinking it would be a good idea to put the filter sponges floating in the tank as there won't be any water movement at all in the filter. Any thoughts, comments?

Your main concern should be the bettas. Do as you said and wrap some towels around them. If you can find some styrofoam, you should put that under the tanks to help insulate them. If not, a towel or blanket under the tank should work.

There's already a towel under each tank to keep the water off the furniture. I'll see if I can find some styrafoam lying around somewhere. I've got empty boxes galore of stuff I've bought, there's bound to be some styrafoam in there
