step 1: buy a cocnut at a supermarket
step 2: there will be 3 holes on top of the coconut which are very easy to puncture with a chopstick or a scissor or a screwdriver. puncture only 1 hole so it looks nicer.
step 3: once punctured, shake the coconut so all the water comes out, you can drink the water if you want
step 4: have someone strong, kinda like me take a hacksaw or a saw, hacksaw works best. a hack saw is used to cut metal and a saw is used for wood. dont cut through it totally because it will take forever but if u want to u can, cut a rim around it about 3 millimeters deep.
step 5: put the coconut in a baggy and throw it lightly on a cement floor.
step 6: it should crack into 2 or 3 uneven pieces, dont worry it will look nicer uneven and eat the loose meat if there is any.
step 7: take a strong knife that will not bend and carve an out line of a bunch of triangles or squares on the white meat still on the coconut. you must apply a lot of pressure, if u dont the shells wont look clean
step8: once u carved an outline, take a knife and get under the meat and shell and scoop it out. once u scoop a peice out make sure the white meat is still attached to a thin layer of coconute shell because it would be alot cleanner. ex.- like when u pull a bundle of grass off the ground, dirt is still attached to it. the grass is the meat and dirt is a thin layer of coconut shell.
step9: then clean it and toss it in the tank. it looks very nice
