hey. My female blue platy is giving birth now. she is currently in a breeding trap, and has had about 8 fry so far, but more to come, i hope as she is VERY fat. Anyway, she has also dropped a few eggs. atleast i think there eggs as there round and yellow, and i dont remember putting anything in there appart from my fish.
Are these eggs?
if so what do i do with them?
is it best to just leave them in the breeding trap with the fry and see if they hatch?

all comments welcome!

There is nothing you can do, this sometimes happens has the eggs dont develop (could be due to stress).

Dont worry to much, just make sure to remove the eggs when she has finished.

Those eggs arent always dead. After she is done, poke them and see if they will "unravel". Last time that happened to my molly, i poked them with a tooth pick and the unravel and a few started swimming, and as far as i know, made it, as i didnt see any dead fish until the 2nd week, and there was only 1.
