Pregnant plattys

I have several plattys that are all pregnant but haven’t given birth, it’s more than a month now, they all feed well and are active around my tank.
Is this normal

Hello. It's absolutely normal. Pregnant fish can hold off delivering fry or eggs until water conditions are just right for the survival of their babies. You can control this by keeping the tank water extra clean. Increase the frequency of your water changes and change out a little more. Make the new, treated tap water a tiny bit warmer too. I also use a handful of standard aquarium salt in my replacement water. Salt will ease the stress of the pregnancy and the flush of clean, warm water will encourage the female to deliver provided she's very close.

A 4 week gestation period is just an average time period. So, it can be sooner or even later. And yes, if such a pregnant female isn't comfortable enough, she can postpone the birthing.
