I have an oscar, green terror, and other fish in my tank. But my oscar is laying in the bottom usually. Everytime the oscar goes up the green terror attacks all the other fish that gets near the oscar. Could my oscar be pregnant and have green terror cross oscar babies? Its only 2.5 inches but it might have babies, it also has a lump on its chest.

no thats not possible, but sounds like you need to remove the green terror, specially at that agg they usually breed around 1.5-2years old,,,,,
sound like aggrestion to me.
whats the tank size,,,,length width / height?
whats the full list of tank occupants?

we need to know this if were going to offer good advice,

also a photo of the oscar with this lump would be a great help :good: or a good discription

Yep need all the things nelly asked for, also stats, ammonia, nitrIte and nitrAte please?

And LMFAO at a livebearing Oscar

The oscar is bigger than the greenterror and the greenterror never shows aggression towards the oscar. It was the oscar who was first aggressive to the greenterror when added to the tank. So far the oscar, a weather loach, and a peacock eel are te oldest inhabitants to my tank. I also have 2 paroon sharks, 1 id, 1 rainbow snakehead and 1 pleco all ranging from 2- 4 inches each, not counting the peacock eel and the weather loach who are about 5 inches each in my 70 gallon contemporary tank. The pH is 7-7.4 right now and the temperature is 25*C.
Here is a picture but u cant see the lump that well, here is a description: Its underneath his gill and as you can see he is swimming near the bottom. He never usually swims to top anymore.

An Oscar only staying at the bottom? Strange.. Also, Oscars don't get pregnant, they lay eggs. It sounds like your tank is over stocked. What are your water stats (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) and what is your water changing schedule? What and how much do you feed your fish?

from the look of him i would say hes ill, and from what your saying i think he needs attention ASAP
he really dosent look happy at all,and i dont know if its the pic but he looks quite swollen at his mouth/gill area.
take the terror out, you cant be sure of what goes on in the tank after dark, he may well be attacking the oscar, but if he was mine i would be very concerned at the fact hes ine the floor "suddenly" for long periods of time, hes stressed and quite possibly suffering too, get a close up pic of the lump so someone can try to help you more,
the PH isnt too important, we need the
AMMONIA
NITRATE
NITRITE
all these results can be had using an API freshwater master testing kit, what filtration have you got on the tank?
its defo NOT pregnant so please post the results as soon as you can and you will get help from there
and also tell us what you do as maintence routine please, so if there are mistakes we can guide you :) we are to help you :)

yes that oscar does not look well at all. there is definatly some swelling at the front end there by the gills. an oscar staying at the bottom is not a good sign sorry to say. we need those water stats asap.

is it okay if i slice the peas because a full sized pea cant fit in my oscars mouth, and my ammonia is 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate is 18 and my oscar has just recovered from popeye

Your nitrate is quite high. Every day, until your nitrate lowers significantly, do 30% water changes. Make sure you are vacuuming your gravel during these water changes.

You can slice the peas.

no u dont have to slice them u squish them in your fingers (mush tham up) and remove any un etean
popeye is caused by poor water quality, you need to let us hear your maintenece routine,so we can help you further :)

my oscar didnt eat any of the peas, and he recovered from popeye, he doesnt have it anymore anyways i change 30% of water each week, occasionally 75% (when the tank is really dirty)

Do you vacuum the gravel every water change? You could have waste down in the gravel that is decomposing and putting bad things in the water. You could also up your water changing to 50% every week, or 30% twice a week.

What and how often do you feed your fish?
