Hi there! I’m hoping someone can help me as I’m a bit confused…. 2 weeks ago my female guppy had fry. We only saw one and currently have it in a nursery. Now this morning we see another one…. It’s incredibly tiny- so must have been born last night. I only have one female guppy- how many times a month can she give birth? I thought it was every 4-5 weeks. It’s only been 2 since she had our first fry.

under good conditions they can give birth about once a month. If they are stressed they might give birth prematurely or hold onto the young for a bit longer. Sometimes they give birth to some young but hold the rest for a week later.

Mine seem to have babies Non-Stop 😂 but I know it can go for several days having a few fish at a time. Do you have plants for the fry to hide in? What kind of nursery do you have? Isn't it exciting seeing the teeny tiny ones!

When my guppies first started having babies, had one to start with. Went a week or so before getting another, then was overrun with them around a month or so later.

A single drop of fry can go over a few days/a week and they can have a new drop approximately every 4 weeks
