I put several ghost shrimp in a tank several months ago to be dinner for the previous residents. I did a switch of all my tanks, and was surprised to see three ghost shrimp had still made it. They are in a 29gl with live bearers, a very small pleco, a CAE, and several small snails (keep the tank spotless). One of the shrimp is pregnant. I can see the eggs in her moving, etc... Are they like lobsters and the babies and will stick with her? Or, are they let loose to fend for themselves? If I want to keep the babies alive what do I need to do?

I just put life in my 20 gal and 4 of my 10 ghost shrimp are pregant. i hope they survive but i think their tank mates or parents will ravage their babies. I have no idea when they will hatch or what to do when they do, i have a bowl i can put them in but not a tank. what is my best option?
