recently posted his breeding log for his GBRs. Ironically after a day of posting in that thread, I BELIEVE that MY gbr is pregnant too. I hope.

THe tank is pretty crowded, but it is super heavily planted. So many plants, and they are all flourishing. about 6 dwarf neon rainbows, 7 threadfin rainbows, 1 albino BN pleco, an endler, some Blue mystery snails, and two GBRs, a mail and female.

Just about 10 minutes ago, I turned the lights on my tank just because I like seeing them on before I go to bed or when I chill before I go to bed ;)

they go off at 6 usually. Anyway, I saw the female GBR eating part of an algae wafer i dropped for the pleco, and she looked fat, then I saw a bump under her, which I think is her egg tube. My question is, what can I do? Is she actually pregnant and how can I preserve the eggs? I can't leave them in the tank. THanks much.

Here are some pics.

I got them from imperial tropicals about a month ago.

She could be both, stuffed from food and becoming gravid. If you really want to breed them, then I'd suggest having a separate tank setup for the rams.
You could try and let the rams spawn in your current tank, but it may put the eggs at risk from you other fish, especially the bushy nose or snails.  How big is current tank by the way?

Yes I am worried they would eat eggs. Its actually a 20g, but the fish are more than happy and always running around. no diseases. no overcrowding.

If you want to raise the young just take out the stone or leaf that they spawn on and hatch the eggs in a separate tank or container.

Ok thats what I will probabl;y do then. Im scared if I move them they wont breed.
