On average I would estimate they carry between 25-40 eggs. They actually hatch as minature shrimps so can't be kept with any fish really unless you have lots of plants. This is the perfect way to get a colony going straight away as they grow very quickly!
I'll also throw in a small clump of java moss and floating frogbit which are perfect for young shrimp and don't take much looking after
