I just bought a balloon Molly. It's quite a bit larger than the other one I bought and I think might be getting a little bit bigger. But ALL balloon Mollys look pregnant! How can you tell?

:S

Also, how long does it take Mollies to give birth and is a guppy breeder suitable for them?

Look on its belly, near the anus. If it is pregnant, there will be a noticeable dark spot, called a gravid spot, around the anus. When she is almost ready to give birth, she'll be almost square. A guppy breeder net would be fine, but keep in mind that mollies often have 20-30 fry at one time. When they start to grow, where will you put them? I bought a one gallon kit from wal mart when mine had babies, and now that theyre getting bigger, I bought them their own ten gallon kit from wal mart that is cycling now to hold them. Also be careful that if she has fry, she doesn't eat them. Remove her from them as soon as she's finished.

Wise observations, Sometimes when you buy a livebearer, It is already pregnant.

In my case i have an outdoor concrete tank and i just put place where the fishes could hide ,aside from this I also have some live plants like water hyacinths around the concrete tank.

I do not have much problems about breeding them ,they are really very prolific.

Anyway, I lived in a tropical country that is warm whole year round!
That maybe one reason "why" they breed that fast!

at last someone with the same prob, me too but finally the gravid spot is so dark i can see it, any day now

if you think she is, then problelly she is !!! you see her for many of days over and over again and any differents you know.
she'll keep on getting bigger and near the end they get well square. if she isn't black you will see a black spot on her sides behind her lower fins, or around her gravid good luck :D
