it seem like somebody on here, i think it was nmonks, said they had some predatory freshwater snails in a shrimp breeding tank and that occasionally they would actually catch a cherry shrimp. i didnt find the old thread though and was just wanted to know if anybody had any idea of what i was talking about. if there are any freshwater predator snails id be interested in getting some, or at the very least doing some research on them. thanks in advance :good: :good: :good:

One of the stores on TropicalFishFinder.co.uk was selling some last time I looked... It was either Wildwoods or Wholesale Tropicals in London. I can't remember which :p

From what I have read they only eat 1 other snail per day so you will need quite a few of them to make any difference to pest snail populations..

Yeah, saw them in Wildwoods a couple of weeks ago. Not cheap though.

that might have been what it was but i dont think so. thanks though. im gona investigate this further. if yall find anything let me know and if i find anything ill let yall know :good:

no i dont need them for snail control - though i might feed them pest snails from time to time from another tank - i just want them as a novelty sort of thing. iv got an idea for a planted nano tank, i want to build it myself, and i think something like these snails would do nicely in it. oh and i PMed nmonks and Anentome helena is the snail he has, so i guess you were right TylerFerretLord. thanks :good:
