Powerhead problems

OK, this is the second one that has done this.. I bought a powerhead the first time, and it immediatly stopped making bubbles.. The second one is now starting to Putt putt the bubbles instead of a full release. Does anyone know this problem?

I was advised to take mine apart and clean it up, boy there was alot of crap in there!!

All I had to do with mine is put a coin a slot and twist, u take the impeller out with the motor core on the end then stick a small bottle brush inside to clean it up.
