I currently have a bow front tank approx 225ltrs 100*50*45cm which has a wet/dry drip tray filter system built in, the powerhead i have is 1500lph and i was wondering whether to upgrade. i do have gentle movement round the tank judging by the plants. current stock 8* pearl danios, 2* sae, 5*neons and soon to be added 5*juvy gymnos & 1*bn pleco.
ive looked around and found a aquarjet/aquarline 2000lph but cant find any bigger i was ideal thinking 2400lph so im getting 10+ cycles an hours but cant find one.... is it worth getting the 2000lph, should i stick with what i have or is there another product i could look at (not too expensive)? Thanks!

I would recommend a Seio M620, rated at 2400lph with various mounting options. The reason I chose Seio's for my reef tank was because they do not produce a very direct output, instead the output is more spread and natural like Tunze powerheads (which were slightly out of my budget).

thats some bit of kit! great value for money too. im going to sound dumb but wanted to d.check before i get my heart set on it... it will pump water into my overhead drip tray wont it?! :-!

Apologies, I think I read your post wrong and thought you were just after more movement in the tank.

If you're wanting more flow through the filter then you will be limited by what will fit the current mountings/space. I would not suggest upgrading the flow rate through you filter however as it can have detrimental effects, the faster the water flows through the filter the less time the bacteria have to clean it up therefore less efficient filtering.

If you do require better filtration the best option would be to install an external canister system, this will increase your filtration capacity and also improve water movement in the tank by way of it's return outlet/spraybar.

If it's just more water movement then a separate powerhead such as the Seio would do the job perfectly :)
