Powerful Filter

hi all i was wanting to know if any one new how to get a powerful filter a show in the vid http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fduVRwQPnw

you can see the powerful fiter at the top of the tank.
dose anyone know how to do this as it would save me using a air pup?

if you mean the bubbles then some filters you can attach an airtube to the output so the water pulls air in with it.

you still dont need an air pump tho.


jus have your filter breaking the surface of the water causing plenty of ripples and it will do a better job than any air pump.


the bubbles rise and pop too quick to really help oxygenate the water.

the main advantage of air pumps is the surface agitation they cause and as i sed before, you dont even need that with your filter positioned correctly.

heh if you turn ur light on and look closly you will see some small white things near the pump thats air getting in. tho if u were worried about that an airpump can make you fish tank look astonishing. i did that and put a long air stone burried under my stone at the back of my tank and when it turns on it make a nice sceen
