so most of my tanks are already full of roots growing in the tank, from terrestrial plants, and I have a lot, so in some cases I've been finding ways to contain the roots... this anubias coffeefola seems to be doing well, in a resin stump pot... I set the plant into the empty pot, and sprinkled a few ceramic media balls on top of the roots, to hold it in place, taking care to keep the rhizomes above the media... this keeps things contained and "neat", and makes it easy to remove if it needed work... this one may never come out, as I have several "gardeners" in this tank, but often, long term, anubias need manual cleaning to thrive... I think it looks great, and will be a centerpiece plant, as it continues to grow...

normally I've stuffed plants into hollow logs, which works great, but makes them harder to remove for maintenance, as the roots go into the substrate...
