I'm sure that some of you play some sort of instrument, be it for personal pleasure or in a band. So post a pic of your instrument here; with make and model and how long you've been playing is also a good idea. Guitars, bass, drums, pianos, keyboards, saxaphones, trumpets, it's all good...I have two guitars with me at the moment, and an organ back home (halfway thru college ATM) Been playing the organ/keyboard since 95' and been in a couple of bands... Picked up the guitar with my dad's old acoustic Yamaha FG-4-5 seven years ago and bought the Epiphone Strat a few years back, although I am out of practice in both keyboard and guitar...

Thanks for looking...

My first bass...DON'T laugh, it was all I could get for £20. ;) No, I didn't paint the flowers. She weighs two stone and plays awfully. Rock on. ;)

Sadly she is waiting to be soldered up since *someone* (so-called friend...!) ripped out the socket "by accident". Anyone want to lend me a soldering iron? :D

Here is my new bass. Some kind of condition of me buying her was that I called her Ethylyn Maisy. So...thats what she's called. *shrugs*

Here is my arm and the end of Ethylyn (in the background, behind half a singer) at a gig in leeds sometime earlier this year:

Here is a pile of other stuff...I don't play the keyboard as such, I just use it for writing music. It's too short for anthing else!

I'm sure you were all wildly excited by those

My epiphone les Paul (left) and my strat copy on the right, both stringless :( i took my old ones off and didn't realise i had no new ones to put back on

I don't play anything but here's the instruments I got at Glastonbury last year.

This is a Gopishand, named Harjit after the man who tried to teach me how to play it! It cost me the pricely sum of £7.50!

Here's some bells I got from the same stall because they are pretty. Costing £1 each:

Indeedy, I was great at guitar until I came to the small stumbing block of not being able to play F (how can you hold 2 strings on one fret with one finger?!!)!!

You play the gopishand by pinging (technical term, there ;)) the string at different hieghts and then squeezing the wood around it. Hmmm not explaining this very well...

I have an idea. 2 secs...

Here we go!

First you tighten the string, like so...

Then you ping the string at different levels to get a different sound, lile so...

And then to get a wha wha sound you squeeze the wooden forky bit, like so...

:D

Squier Fat Strat and Squier P-Bass (My wall from when I was 15, doesn't look like that anymore :look: )

that is so cool, I bet an ensemble of them would sound ace :D

Dont worry about not being able to play F, i was in a band for three years whose guitarist couldn't play F or B. I just wrote the songs so they didn't involve those chords, or we used power chords instead :D although i the way i play those kidna chords is by laying my finger acroos the strings which holds them all down at once...

Now that was one ace song! I can't remember the name of his website though, something like bah-tis-ral.com or somwthing like that!

Oh, and cheese, do you think it possible to play the button?

I do! You get a load of them (about 410) and janle them! How I love the sound of buttons in the morning!
