Possibly Upgrading From Guppies

I want to upgrade from breeding guppies to somthing that will pull in a little better profit. They need to be freshwater fish, and obviously, tropical. I need something that isn't to large bacause it would be nice to use my current 2 10 gal. tanks. They should also be in demand but not supplied by too many. There are no breeders of any kind in my area so that's not to big of a deal. If you could, would you also post a sample pic of the fish you suggest?

corry cats? or maby tetras. or even small plecos like bristlenose or rubber lipped.

Bettas? But they will need larger growout tanks and I warn you they can get a bit pricey (it's unlikely to buy a good pair under $50~ dollars.)

Beta's sound good, but I don't know where I could sell them at. I could get some fancy vases and colored stones and put together a little kit for anyone who wanted to but a batta and make it more expencive! That way they could just say "I want this betta, what all do I need?" and I could say "Nothing exept Haley's Fabulous Betta Paradise for only $20.00" or somthing like that. I know, bettas should have a gallon per fish but does a regular pet owner really care about that? No one I know does I'm hoping to have more room soon so it wont be so hard to get the extra tanks set up. I might ever just keep doing the guppies and use the bettas for attention

Breeding something with only two ten gallons isn't going to bet that easy. A bigger grow out tank would be a good idea.

I'd say either corys or cherry barbs. Or if your water is very soft, tetras. Or microrasboras. The Galaxy rasbora is, apparently, not that hard to breed, and there should be a nice profit in that. Definitely not bristlenoses or other plecs, as they would choke in their own filth- bristlenose fry are really fragile until they are about 2 inch long, and how do you keep 30 2-inch fish in a 10 gallon? Not to mention the fact that once mummy and daddy bristlenose have got the idea, they will probably want to do it every 3 weeks.

You can sell eggs aswell as adults.
I have sold australe on ,and they went like hot cakes

I would say more unusual cory's, or galaxy rasboras if you can get hold of enough to make a breeding pair. Many lfs won't order them in as they've nearly been wiped out in the wild thanks to the fishkeeping trade!

You could also try some more unusual livebearers such as halfbeaks, or try your hand at genetic selection and try and get new variations on your guppies.
