Watched these two for about a half hour before purchasing! Wasn't looking for angles since I already have a small pair that havent been sexed since there so difficult to do so! But these two caught my eye, these were being sold as medium size but they were by far the biggest pair, by a long shot. Not only that they had a corner picked out and were spot cleaning and guarding this one corner! Anytime another angle would come by these would push them away! So hopefully from my observation on these two they are a breeding pair! If so they will be moved out of the community aquarium and put in there own for some babies!!!

Interesting!!! What size is your tank. If these are a breeding pair, then your other fish in the tank will get stressed. The angels will end up taking over a lot of the tank, and all of the other fish will get stuck in one area, also contributing to stress. You need a big tank for a breeding pair of angels, 75 gallons+ and 55 is the bare minimum. I'm not an expert and am learning every day, but I think that you need to watch those two angels. If they are't then you should be fine but I would still keep an eye on the other fish and make sure nothing is happening that is bad.

Same thing happened with my angel pair that i had in a community tank. They laid eggs out of nowhere on a big leaf so i went and got a 29gal and set it up for them. Within 3 days of them being in there they laid eggs and i got hundreds of babies! Good times!

It's a 55 gallon and I have a 40 breeder that they will be moved to if I observe them bullying or mating!
