OK guys, I have another idea. Is it possible to keep a single GSP in a 20 gallon for its life? I heard they need about 20-30 gallons per GSP, but if I only keep one then would this be suitable for him? Also, I was really considering a Porcupine Puffer for the bigger tank instead of the two GSP idea. However, I'd probably need about a 100 gallon tank at least, correct? I looked up info on them, and I really want one. I can't register onto that puffer forum, it won't send a password to my email. Can I get a 100 gallon tank for a GSP and a porcupine when the GSP is big and ready for marine? What other puffers would go with a porcupine, and I'm going to need tank sizes as well. Thanks, I know I'm annoying.

buy a 200g tank and get a MBU MBU MBU incase u dunno what a mbu is its a giant puffer grows to be 4 feet bigness

Godric - do you have marine experience?

If not, I would seriously reconsider starting with a porkie.

Read this post to give you an idea about exactly what is involved.

Think of the fish's welfare. this is a life you're talking about.

OK. First off I don't need a sump, they are very hard to manage and I could do fine without one. Also, I have the appropriate funds for this setup. However, I do have some questions, because I am new to this reef system but not aquarium upkeeping. On some tanks, the stuff inside the stand, that looks like a big generator, is the sump correct? Or is this one huge filter? I need to see some diagrams if possible...

A sump is usually located below the tank. It can be used to contain extra filter media, heating etc. But it's most benifical porperty is that it also increases the volume of water in your tank!

Not needed. Would I need to get an external filter? Because I was thinking of getting two really nice Aquaclear's or something else.
