How big of a tank would I need for 1 GSP and a Porcepine puffer? 2 GSP and a porcepine? Is it possible? Note, I would only do this when the GSP are ready for full marine.. I need some info on Porcepines and if they can go with GSP's, tank size, etc.

:(

How big of a tank to they need? I've seen some in community tanks with other fish.

Ive seen pirahnas in comunity tanks too but they dont stay community very long. It sounds like a horrible Idea to me you would be much better off w/o it you cannot collect puffers like that they dot lik each other. Its a bit like collecting male bettas. To keep the three together you would need atleast 500 gallons with ALOT of hideing spaces and area for territories. You dont have that kind of money.

That much space.... I'll stick with the two GSP in a 60 gallon then.. :(

The guy at Oceans Floor told me that I could have one GSP and one porcepine in a 60 gallon, I'd just need hiding spots, and I'd only have to worry about my porcepine not growing as big..

Rule number 1 of fish keeping - Never believe the word of the staff in a fish shop without checking numerous other sources first.

Rule number 2 of fish keeping - If staff in fish shop sound convincing the see rule 1!!!

Man, i got really excited when he told me this too...

I really want some additional info on Porcepines, so if possible can you send me something on them?

Well I was looking for info based on observations and such.

:p I'm lazy :p

:D Lithril-that is so true!!!

(second sleepless night approaching due to wrong advice!!!)

Wish Id found this place before I went to shop!! :/

I did some research and I did find that a GSP and Porcupine lived in the same tank fine. However, I do understand it has alot to do with the individual fish, approx how big of a tank would I need for these two?

Well it all comes down to whether or not you are willing to risk the lives of the puffers on the off chance that they are compatible. If they are not two perfectly healthy fish die. And thats not a good thing.
