Well, no sooner has Fiyero been written off than Nessarose blinks charmingly at me with an eye that looked slightly . . . swollen.
So maybe I'm paranoid after two recent deaths, but she doesn't look NORMAL. I'm convinced it's an early stage of popeye.
Ammonia levels are zero, all is well (esp since water was just changed today) . . . except about three millimetres behind the eye is a small, raised bump. Nessarose is the gal who loves to jump for her food about three or four times before I drop it in, and on more than one occasion she's slammed herself into the lid of her jar. This could easily have caused the injury, but what I want to know is, could the injury in turn have caused the popeye? The eye is perfectly clear, not cloudy at all, so I don't believe it's parasites. I remember hearing somewhere that popeye can be caused by injury, but if that's the case, how do I pursue treatment?
HAYLP!
