Hi ya everyone been a while.

Ive finally manage to keep the ick at bay now. Been treating the water for a few weeks after the last signs of it and all seems to be ok.

I lost my little King Tiger Pleco last week I think it was a case of him not being able to eat without being picked on by my two Neolamp. Brichardi's. He was getting really thin and i tried all sorts for him Cucumber and tablets but it failed. Now this week one of my Neolamp. brichardis isnt looking itself. Has anyone got any ideas?

All i have left now is one 4" king tiger Pleco, 2 Neolamp. brichardis and 2 Pictus's. Ive been putting in peeled cucumber in for the large pleco (whose finally discovered he likes!!) do u think this could be a cause. -_-

thanx in advance :fun:

Hi dede,
What's the pH at in your tank? Also what size tank is it?

N. brichardi make terrible tankmates for just about any other fish!! They can and most often do become very aggressive, although I don't think this is the trouble with your plecs.

Plecs IMO just don't do well with Africans. They come from a softer acidic environment and it is sometimes very difficult to acclimate them to a higher pH.

I had an opportunity recently to bring in wild King Tiger Plecs and turned it down simply due to not having a tank at the proper pH level. They would have had to go into a tank whose pH was 7.2 and even that would have killed them.
