Poorly Beta

This is the second betts I have had who seems to have dropsy!

First one died after going bloated, very lazy, then onto lying at the bottom of the tank and finally he died!

This one now has the bloated tummy and seems very unactive!

What am I doing wrong??

Provide this info:

-Tank size
-Filtered tank or not?
-Heater?
-Water change frequency
-How long have you had the beta
-Fully describe symptoms (lethargic? immobile? somewhat active? eating? fins "pineconing" from an aerial view?)
-Where the betta was purchased and your best guess on the condition when purchased

If you want answers you need to provide info for us to deduce the problem (and obviously there is a problem).
