Poor SIEIMIES???? fighting fish!!!

A bought a you know what a month ago and made sure that all the water conditions where correct, and they still are. His fins etc were looking nice and were in 1 piece. now his tail fin has 'broken' into several thinner bits and looks a bit messy. he doesn't move about much either!

Have you noticed any other symptoms (any other discolored patches, bumps, red marks on the tips of his tail?)
