Hi.Just wondering what to do with my pond water lily as the leaves are going black.
Originaly planted it in pond in june (didnt have any flowers from it) but it produced about 12 leaves.
Just leave it alone? or take it out?
Thanks

The plant is just dying back as winter sets in. You can let it be and the leaves will rot away, but this can affect the water parameters in the same way leaves falling from trees into the water do. So it may be a good idea to cut them off at the base of the stem and remove them.

You'll enjoy putting your arm into the freezing cold water trying to fish the thing out.
