Pond Size

how big of a pond would you need to keep kois, orfe and some tench in

Your looking at a minimum of a 8x6 x4 foot deep.
Depth is very important in order for the larger fish to survive the winter

what about just the orfe and tench then because 6 foot would be a bit to deep when i have a 5 year old brother. would it be easy to raise the pond a foot abouve the floor so my brother couldnr get in as easy

You can use railway sleepers to raise the pond, like shown below,
If you use proper railway sleepers then they'd be around a foot high at least, so you'd only need to go one or two high

ok ill have to try and convince my mum
do you think i could have golden tench, shbunkins and orfe in a 8 by 6 by 4 foot pondand if i can how many

for koi you need a minimum of 250 uk gallons per koi (regardless of size as they will grow if in the right conditions) with a minimum of 5ft deep imo.

yes you can rasie a pond out of ground ive seen some about 3ft out of the ground.

i havent a clue what your age is but you say you live with your mum still. you do realise a proper koi pond would cost £2-3000 with proper filtration pumps etc.
