Pond Plants In Aquarium?

would it be possable to put flowering pond plants in an indoor aquarium? or will they not let any light into the tank?

you could, you would need to lower the water level a smidge if you want to see the flower and you would have to keep it trimmed so some light would come through

id have to figure out how to light it too. couldnt have a cover on the tank, not that i would want too with the flowers and all. but the plant itself wont just take over the tank?

I have some lilies that I moved from my pond into my planted tank. just keep it well trimmed and it won't take over
