Pond Fish

I havea large pond with about 8 comet and shubunkin in it. Two years ago I spotted a tiny baby fish in my pond, at that point he was no more than an inch long and was all white. We believed he would turn colors to gold as all of our fish are gold. Strangely enough he didnt! Is this normal? I just thought that since it was bred by two gold colored fish he would turn gold. I don't know who the parents are. Unfortunetely he was the only one we ever saw.

nah not all goldfish turn gold. Usually they start off brown and get golder, it varies.

It depends on the gene's, he may still change colour at some point, but its nothing to worry about if he doesn't either way .
