Pond Filter Help Please!

Hey,

We've just made a new pond for our koi and are having trouble with sorting out a filter for it. Its about 1200 gallons and the one we were advised to get was nearly £500

Can anyone tell me exactly what i need (i know nothing about ponds, its my mum's) and how much it should cost!

a decent sized pump ,ie a dirty water pump something like the hozelock prima £75(there are cheaper ones)is ideal and a hozelock eco power combined filter UVC will be fine for 1200 gallons go for the 900 model its around £150
