A True Oddball
Hi,
well I've had my senegalus 2 weeks now, and he is doing well. he is feeding on frozen and freeze dried bloodworm along with frozen chopped prawns.
he was a little skinny when I got him, as I'm not sure he was eating in the LFS, they are a great shop, but they did lose their delhezi's. but as you know they are very tempremental.
I think my platydoras costatus and Synodontis Ocellifer are also eating. They didn't seem to eat the King British Catfish pellets, that my cory's and dwarf african frogs enjoy, as well as most of the other tank mates (these are in a different tank to the bichir ) nor did they like the jmc pellets, which just turn to mush as soon as they hit the water, no wonder they come in large packs, they are useless.
The bichir is a great fish, its out during the day and my little sisters hate it, coz they say it look like a snake B)
The ocellifer has decided upon a home in a cave I bought for the bichir, and doesn't tolerate anyone in their except my Clown loach, which is about 5" long.
The wounds on the striped rapheal are healing up nicely which is good to see. it to has made itself a home under a peice of bogwood.
The white spot in tank has cleared up, after the second treatment and I will be doing a water change later this week. The water is slightly golden from the bogwood, but I will be able to replace the carbon soon, and that will clear that up.
I'll try to get a decent picture of the fish, although getting the synodontis and platydoras will be hard as they don't come out much during the day.
Thanks for the help, you have given in the run up and preperation to buying these three lovely fish.
only drawn back is I'm stonely broke after setting up that tank, oh well
The GF can wait for her digital camera (for her birthday) lol
cheers,
