As some people may know i own 2 polypterus senegalus, they are still young at the moment (they are only 5inches long) and i'm feeding them frozen bloodworm does anyone know what I should feed them when they get older and any other foods i can feed them now?

Thanks

GK

I feed my bichirs with mostly frozen lance fish and hikari carnivor pellets plus the odd live river shrimp if they can catch them. They also sometimes eat the occasional prawn cockle or mussel if any make it to the bottom of the tank.

I used to feed mine chopped pieces of trout (leftovers from my redtail) you can also hand feed them as they can find it hard getting food if their kept with faster fish.

ste :)
