Hi,

I've been sat watching my oddball tank, and on close in specetion of my two P.senegalus I noticed hair like tuberles coming from them both.

These are coming from their heads, on the gill covers and down the bodies. I first thought it may have been flukes, but nothing else in the tank has them, and there is a Clown Loach, an L001 and a Clown Knifefish in the tank too.

They aren't white or black, they are the same colouration as the fish.

any ideas from anyone?

Thanks :good:

I've been watching these and they appear to be moving around the fishes body, there for I belive they may be some type of leech.

So anyway to get rid of leeches?!

Anti-crustacean med, perhaps, (Inerpret does one), however, it knocks the filter out. Salt is often reccomended, possibly copper based meds would kill them too.

thanks I'll have a look on thursday as I can get to a shop today or tomoz :(

looked at my senegal and delhezi and palmas and they all have what you describe.it looks like a kind of fine hair on parts of their head and on some parts of their back.

First thing that comes to mind are body flukes.

A prazi based med at half dose following the instructions would be my suggestion. I recommend "jungle parasite clear"
Stay away from copper based meds though, bichirs don't like them...
