Polka Dot Loach - Info Please!

Hiya!

Anyone be able to tell me what size polkadot loaches get to? do they like to be kept in a group, are they nocturnal and - do they hassle corys? Saw some in my lfs and they looked like they'd be really attractive fish

i have three of them.
about 2 inches in length but not quite sure about the adult size.
they tend to hide a lot though.

I've heard they max at 10-12cm. They do like a group, and they probably won't bother the cories (at least, while the loaches are young) as long as they don't feel crowded. They should be out during the day if they are comfortable with the setup. I have yoyos, rostrata, and zebra, and they almost never hide, but they have plenty of places to hide and plenty of room to play around. They like tight spaces and the yoyos favorite spots look like they almost don't fit . Kubotai are very similar in behavior. What size tank do you have and are there any other tankmates?

They are very active and you will need a minimum of 3. Four or more better.

I have 6 that are around 3.5" to 4" long and one that is about 2.5" and they never bother my cories. I have a piece of plastic driftwood that is hollowed out and they spend most of their time swimming in and out of it. I have rocks on the other side of the tank and they sometimes hang out over there.
