Hi,
I was going to get a 20 gallon tabk but i saw a bigger one for £300(not sure about the size). I was wondering if i would need anuthing other than a wet/dry filter and powerheads for filteration. I will not have liverock as none of my local fish stores sell it.

Live rock can be bought on-line and I would strongly suggest you get some as the benefits to a Nano tank are huge. The wet/dry filter will work but, with such a small water volume, you will have issues with water quality as the filter will build up Nitrates.

Good sources of live rock are:

Online Marine Retailers (Obviously)
eBay
Local Freeads/Newspaper

If you can pick up the rock yourself I would recommend doing so as even if couriered it will be in a warehouse overnight at least and the longer its out of water the more die-off you get. The best rock i've ever purchased was from a guy who was dismantling his reef tank. It had been running for 3 years and there was numerous coral frags, etc. all over it as well as masses of 'pod life. This is the best stuff you can buy - secondhand live rock beats LFS live rock hands down as long as you can verify the history of it (ie. why is the tank being dismantled, etc.)
