So I noticed today that my cherry shrimp is laying on its side, some of its legs still moving, but it can't seem to stay upright. I think I may have accidentally nudged the driftwood in the tank, and it was underneath and mistakenly injured. I put a nugget of crab bite next to it so it could eat, but its forcep-like feet in the front are hardly moving, just the back "swimmerettes." I don't know if the legs were damaged or if it's just sick. Anyone have a clue? I wonder if the new water changed the temperature enough to cause shock?

Shrimps are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrates. If they are high you can be poisoning the shrimp.
It could also be that it is going to molt.

Unfortunately, the next morning my shrimp was dead. I think what happened was that I accidentally crushed its fragile body while moving a piece of driftwood.
