I have 2 apple snails in a 10 gallon tank and let's just say they haven't been doing much cleaning as of late . They have had other things on thier dirty little minds ! So at any rate I'm sort of sick of watching them" not clean" all day and watching my tank get more and more algea ridden .Today i found the product of thier efforts on the hood of my tank  and am thinking about trading the snails in for some sort of plec , but in a 10 gallon i worry about the size. Any suggestions on a good , yet small algea eater would be greatly appreciated :D

I have had cories in my 10 gallon guppy tank,

I suggest them but please get at least 3 as they are schooling fish.

:fish: :fish: :fish:

Just a suggestion, but you could try working out why your tank gets so covered with algae. Look for problems with your water quality or lighting.

Prevention is much better than cure.

I wouldn't suggest anything, since your tank appears to be overstocked. Overstocking can lead to fish stress, diseases, and possibly death.

The normal stocking guide is 1" of for each gallon of water. This applies for fish 3" and under. Larger fish should be stocked, probably the same guide as marine aquaria, which is 1" of fish for each 5 gallons.
