Plecs keep jumping out of tank!

What could cause this? I just got a nice 4" long one the other day only to find him dried up on the floor the next morning. My other small plec did the same thing. Could it be my tiger barbs chasing them around. (Cuz we all know theyre such little angels )

Im going to get a bigger power filter for the tank to help fill in the gaps in the hood. Hopefully that will help. Any other ideas? BTW water parameters are fine.

you might want to check my post in catfish craddle cause pelcos as I found out like to get a breath of air so it might be best to keep the water level an inch or so below the top.

plec will zoooooom rite up to the surface to take a gulp of air is the tank covered fully! he/she may be getting out there! as for things chasing plecs, the only fish i can think of on hand theat can damage them is pirhana's .

it was really weird they died within ten minutes of each other
I am going to miss the little buggers but what can you do but to move on

Is there a glass cover over the top? Ive never had a problem with never had a problem with fish jumping out except when i used to clean my silver shark tank out and they would jump out of the smallest holes!
