hi !

i have a tank cycling at the mo , my plan is to add f8 puffers [ x3 ] and at least one plec, BUT can i do that ?

are there any plecs that will tolerate a brackish tank ? that dont get HUGE , like for example nothing over 6 SIX inches ?

i dont want a BN , i want something that has a certain amount of *bling*

can ANYONE advise ?

thanks ever so much !

I have no idea myself, but ive read it can stress them out, forgive me if thats wrong. Just something i read.

NO is the short answer.
plecs are purely freshwater fish, they cannot tolerate much salt at all, let alone live in a brackish tank

Scaleless fish like plecos and corys are not as closely related in an evolutionary sense to marine fish as many other fish which is why they are so specialised to being freshwater. They can only handle the smallest traces of salt. I think it could also be why they are sensitive to many meds, but I'm speculating.
