Plecs, 100g

depends on your choice of plecs but if you want to do a plec only tank i would get rid of the commons otherwise I would say maybe another 3 smaller ones.

in my 90gallon i have 10 L numbers, some will be moved into other tanks but the majority are there to stay and will probable add a few more.

all of these plecs have a max size of 6inch or under.

i also have 4 doras, 4 pimpictus and a dwarf girrafe cat in there as bottom feeders.

Why go for common plecs? There are for many more interesting species about? I would like to see a shoal of the same type of plecs, maybe a shoal of 6 clown plecs? Or Zebra plecs if you have money to burn ;)

Check your local fish shop, there are many nice L numbers, they can all be seen at planetcatfish.com

they wont shoal - they may fight, but not shoal.

We have 5 columbian zebras in one tank and it was a war zone until they settled in

I'd have to agree, there are some fantastic plecs out there. If youve got the space for 2 commons - you cna have almost any other plec instead.

What is the actual size of the tank? also what sort of aquascaping do you have?

It's 100g , one of the commons is going in a smaller tank.

The actual tank is custom built for corners, nice and tall, with lots of floor space. It's pretty wide open, I am hoping on adding more plants, and another peice of wood, or soemtype of cave ( I have one fake peice of wood, about 12 inches long )

Sounds like a good tank for angels eh

Cheers.

o not shoal, but they show group behaviour, especially if grazing on bogwood, or generally searching for food.
